"I just finished this book on 1/16...what a great read! I couldn't put this book down (funny, since I wasn't sure that I would even like this book). It was great for so many reasons. The story was interesting and full of history, and knowing that much of it was based on the author's family history made it all the more compelling. I'm looking forward to reading Lalita Tademy's next book, Red River. "
